Job Summary Responsible for providing an advanced clinical level of quality patient care while producing radiologic images used for patient diagnosis and treatment. The responsibilities also include completing x-rays effectively and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care possible in order to provide the most remarkable patient experience.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Diagnostic Imaging required
  • Radiologic Technologist and Technician [MA] required
  • Registered Technologist [R.T.(ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
  • Radiology Technologist experience with multiple patient populations 2-3 years required
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively evaluate and problem solve.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to guide, teach, and motivate others.
  • Good business acumen skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Technologist [R.T.(ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred

Responsibilities

  • Determines appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patients condition to obtain quality images for radiologists; this level may provide an advanced clinical level of patient care.
  • Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures which may include transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and position patients.
  • Explains procedures to patients taking into consideration physical and emotional needs.
  • Records digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation.
  • Maintains pertinent records.
  • Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  • May provide assistance to Radiology Technologist Students and new staff in performing Radiologic exams, sterile technique, and proper stocking of supplies in radiographic rooms.
