The Radiologic Technologist II competently performs routine and specialized radiology procedures to produce quality images for physicians and other healthcare providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. This role works independently, utilizing sound judgment and developed clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures, delivering accurate results in a timely manner. The technologist is responsible for gaining confidence and cooperation from patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adherence to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures is required to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. The position may also involve performing specific procedures and/or assisting in orienting other staff to the department.
