About The Position

Under the supervision of the Chief Technologist, Director of Radiology, Chairman, and/or Manager, the Radiologic Technologist Assistant provides support and assists the Radiologic Technologist and or Radiologist with radiographic imaging procedures.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent (GED).
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent course credentialed by American Heart Association.
• Medical Technician - NH Board of Registration of Medical Technicians
• None required.

Responsibilities

• Assists and supports the Technologist with related protocols, procedures and patient care.
• Acts as a liaison between technologist, radiologist and other departmental personnel.
• Verifies and documents pertinent exam information and assists with preparation and education of the patient for procedure and expectations.
• Utilizes hospital and departmental information, technology systems and equipment operation.
• Maintains a level of productivity, adaptability, flexibility and timeliness in managing workload and processes required to meet patient care and department needs.
• Adheres to department policy and procedures and practices modality specific safety protocols.
• Actively engages in departmental meetings, modality meetings and committee initiatives.
• Completes hospital, departmental, and professional requirements.
• Participates in assignments, duties and responsibilities for continuous improvement in alignment with management and organizational goals
