As our Student Rad Tech, you will gain hands-on experience, supporting diagnostic imaging to aid accurate patient diagnosis. Every day, you will assist in performing various imaging examinations (X-rays, CT, MRI), learning patient positioning, and contributing to positive patient experiences under supervision. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn, attention to detail, excellent communication, and a foundational understanding of imaging principles, committed to mastering workflow and image quality. Students must have a Rad Tech working with them on all exams. The student and Rad Tech must first seek permission from the patient for the student to participate in his or her care. The Rad Tech is ultimately responsible for all work performed by the student. If the Rad Tech feels the student is ready, they may allow the student to work independently with the patient, but the Rad Tech will remain in the department and available to assist the student as needed. All work performed by the student will be checked, verified as accurate and correct, and then signed off by the Rad Tech before the patient leaves the lab. Both the student and the Rad Tech are to sign the exam worksheet.
