The Radiographic Aide II supports radiology technologists and nursing staff by helping coordinate efficient patient flow. This role involves scheduling and confirming appointments, collaborating with patient access and financial clearance teams to ensure proper authorization, preparing exam rooms, managing supplies and linens, screening patients for procedures, assisting with patient transport, and maintaining room readiness through timely turnover. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. On-call responsibilities and mandatory overtime may also be necessary.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience working in a single modality as a Radiographic Aide
  • BLS

Responsibilities

  • Assist in verifying and accompanying patients from the waiting room to exam areas
  • Prepare patients for procedures to include but not limited to contrast and metal screening, gowning and positioning
  • Assist in procedure room preparation and room turn over to include but not limited to stacking of linen, stocking of supplies, cleaning and disinfection of equipment, requesting of EVS and linen services as needed
  • Assist in scheduling specialty exams or procedures in specific modalities.
  • Work with patient access teams to rectify and confirm appointments
  • Work with financial clearance teams to ensure authorizations are in place
  • Coordinate patient transport and transports patients as needed
