About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Radio Frequency Simulator Analyst/Equipment Specialist to join a team assisting the 36th Electronic Warfare Squadron (36 EWS), 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW), at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 350 SWW is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF). The mission of the 350 SWW is to develop and test mission data (MD) to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat. This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation. As a Radio Frequency Simulator Analyst/Equipment Specialist, your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline; Note - 6 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education requirements.
  • The candidate will possess a minimum of three years' experience in EW systems or applications.
  • They must have the potential ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Applicants must have a working knowledge of computer systems and an understanding of Windows-based personal computers and Microsoft Office software and possess the ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.

Nice To Haves

  • Current active Top Secret or Secret security clearance, and previous experience in RF integration, EM spectrum management, antenna design, and digital signal processing
  • Knowledge of EW weapons systems development, test and evaluation, and systems engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze radar systems characteristics defined in U.S. Government (USG) databases, such as: the Electronic Warfare Integrated Reprogrammable Database (EWIRDB), Common Emitter Database (CED) and other approved intelligence sources
  • Document radar parametrics and generate complex, realistic emitter mode combinations and scenarios for use with RF Simulators
  • Verify programmed parametrics with associated test/measurement equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Signal Analyzer, etc.)
  • Perform/support system(s) maintenance and calibration
  • Work with Mission Data Engineers to identify suitable RF simulation modes for testing Mission Data File (MDF) testing
  • Operate the RF Simulator during periods of MDF test
  • Develop and utilize model and simulation techniques
