Requirements

  • Student must be pursuing a Master's degree program in science or engineering area.
  • Student is in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale.
  • Familiar with lab data acquisition, analysis, modeling, and visualization
  • Able to safely operate basic lab test equipment, e.g. oscilloscope and network analyzer
  • Familiar with serial communication, e.g., RS232/485, command protocol and structure.
  • Quick learner

Nice To Haves

  • Training in power electric and electronics areas is preferred; familiar with circuit simulation, e.g. LTSPICE; Knowledge in Plasma is a plus.
  • Good program skill in LabVIEW; and practical experience in serial communication and data acquisition programming.
  • Program experience and knowledge e.g. in LabVIEW; able to write scripts to process raw data is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with laboratory projects in development of lab test fixtures for EE/RF projects, e.g. of testing DC/RF power supplies and impedance matching networks.
  • Work with project owners in troubleshooting and functionality test.
  • Develop e.g. LabVIEW programs for automation control of lab measurement instruments.
  • Support experimental data acquisition and processing, and some simple to moderate data modeling.
