About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to safely and effectively deliver radiation treatments as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist. This role involves patient care, treatment planning support, and operation of radiation therapy equipment in a clinical setting.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required
Valid New Jersey state license required

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of Radiation Therapy experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-based clinical environment
Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

Administer radiation treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions and safety protocols
Monitor and document treatment delivery and patient responses
Obtain and evaluate imaging (portal images) and implement corrective measures as needed
Perform calculations and assist with treatment planning procedures
Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and necessary materials
Educate patients and families on procedures, equipment, and treatment expectations
Position and transfer patients accurately for treatment delivery
Assist with simulation procedures using conventional and CT simulators
Document detailed setup instructions (field size, angles, positioning, etc.)
Construct and apply immobilization devices, shielding blocks, and bolus as required
Perform quality assurance checks on treatment units, simulators, and equipment
Maintain daily treatment schedules in coordination with patient care teams
Ensure cleanliness, organization, and adequate supplies in treatment areas
Identify and report equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel
Assess and respond to patient needs, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered care
Support training and education of students during clinical rotations
