Positions Location: Lansing, MI Job Description General Purpose of Job : Provide radiation therapy services to cancer patients as directed by an authorized user (radiation oncology physician) in accordance with the established standards of the department. Essential Duties : This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Associates may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position. Delivers accurately the prescribed planned course of radiation therapy in accordance with the radiation oncologist written directive and maintains legible and accurate records of daily treatment as required. Performs radiation simulations procedures and observes patients for unusual reactions and/or events. Performs procedures related to physics/dosimetry with and without supervision of the physicist and/or dosimetrist. Follows all mandated departmental radiation safety, emergency, and hazardous materials procedures. Reports and records equipment deficiencies to the Manager and/or Bio-Medical Engineering. Responsible for supervision, instruction and education of students. Attends departmental meetings and conferences. Assists in nursing related functions as necessary. Responsible for coordination of work flow to accommodate quality patient care and patient treatments.
