Position Summary Performs specific technical duties of a radiation therapist and provides assistance for the proper functioning of the department. Ensures administration of high quality and comprehensive age and disease appropriate radiotherapy to oncology patients. Provides problem solving, issue resolution and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to consistently provides excellent customer service with a focus on safety, quality and service.
Requirements
- Minimum one-year acute care experience or equivalent preferred.
- Current California Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RHA) or Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (RHT) required
- Current American Heart Associate Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) card required
- Current ARRT (RT) license, Radiation Therapy (preferred)
- Current Fluoroscopy license in California (preferred)
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one-year acute care experience or equivalent preferred.

- Current Fluoroscopy license in California (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Utilizes all electronic systems effectively and appropriately.
- Demonstrates the required technical knowledge to perform quality imaging for all diagnostic exams and procedures while providing quality patient care and safety.
- Performs quality imaging appropriate to patients of all ages and conditions.
- Assures appropriate patient identification is performed and indication and history for exam is documented.
- Demonstrates the ability to properly position patients for therapy and to operate radiation therapy equipment according to protocol.
- Ensures patient and family education is conducted and documented according to department policies.
- Ability to be at work and be on time.
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures and directives.
- Ability to interact in a positive and constructive manner.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
