Radiation Oncology Veterinary Assistant

We are looking for: Radiation Oncology Veterinary Assistant Monday thru Thursday 8a to 6p Hiring Range: $24/hour to $29/hour Our Radiation Oncology assistants need to have critical thinking skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask within a strong team environment. This team focuses on developing strong client and patient relationships due to many cases requiring daily treatments. You must be able to drive the MedVet experience of excellent patient care and compassion.
Requirements
- Prior veterinary experience required, previous oncology or specialty experience desired
- Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with radiation treatments and CT
- Client communication over the phone and face to face
- Manage appointments and scheduling
- Accurate and thorough documentation for medical records
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent venipuncture skills
