Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Automotive experience preferred).
  • Basic understanding of Automotive Radar Theory.
  • 3+ years of CAD experience with NX and Teamcenter.
  • 3+ years of injection molding design experience.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of CAD experience using NX and Teamcenter.
  • Experience with high-volume manufacturing processes including: Machining Sheet metal stamping Metal/plastic injection molding Die casting
  • 5+ years of packaging and thermal management design and simulation using ANSYS and/or FLOTHERM.
  • Experience solving complex issues using 5 Why Problem Solving.
  • Green Belt Certification.
  • Strong knowledge of product development best practices: DFM/DFA DFMEA DOE
  • Understanding of PCB layout and fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new Radar Mechanical Concepts for automotive radar systems.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary development team to support design, integration, and testing of radar systems.
  • Present design concepts to team and management for review.
  • Identify and escalate issues to team and management for resolution.
  • Act as a team player – highly motivated, flexible, and well-organized.
  • Apply design experience with a variety of materials and manufacturing processes.
