This is how you will grow: Own the mechanical design and development of a novel, high volume, high voltage electro mechanical system Work with the hardware design team to develop a build to print on-vehicle electronic control unit with optimized performance, reliability, and cost. Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, testing, manufacturing, and quality teams, to ensure that designs encompass correct principles and meet quality standards. Develop engineering prototypes using rapid prototyping processes and coordinate building and testing for functionality and performance. Engage with suppliers from concept phase to evaluate processes and materials based on manufacturability, quality, cost, reliability, and functional requirements. Provide further support on design improvements to resolve quality issues related to fabrication (die casting, injection molding, sheet metal forming, etc) Participate in development of assembly and test fixtures for all product phases. Develop mechanical functions specifications, support with test planning, execution and documentation based on the design requirements and regulations.
