About The Position

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Radar HWIL Responsible Engineer (RE) in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities Include: Maintain operational readiness on multiple Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators in the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Advanced Research Center (ARC). This includes installing and maintaining HWIL hardware and software in the configuration authorized for formal test and training, as well as performing check out of HWIL software updates received from the developer. The RE performs failure analysis, determines root cause, and monitors repairs of HWIL equipment, manages change requests for the HWIL systems, and supports Government audits, certification, and accreditation activities. The RE will also receive training in HWIL radar operations and will serve as a substitute operator as needed.

Requirements

  • AA degree in Information Technology, Computer Technology, or similar + 5 years relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems, including shell scripting experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Applicant selected must have an active Secret security clearance
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Previous HWIL simulator maintenance experience is preferred
  • Experience with Missile Defense System (MDS) Ground Test program is highly desirable along with previous experience in HWIL radar operations
  • Security+ certification is preferred
  • Experience with MS Office products is preferred

Responsibilities
