Requirements

BCLS, Graduate of an accredited or registered school of Radiology Technology.
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
(RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
(ARRT-R) Radiography

Responsibilities

Assists in the maintenance of all equipment in the department, including cleaning and minor repairs.
Facilitates departmental operations through completion of all patient logs, charge requisitions, and other paper work, either through the computer system or via a manual system.
Maintains safety precautions to minimize radiation exposure to patients, other personnel, and self.
Participates in quality control and performance improvement activities within the department.
Participates in rotating call system to provide continuous availability of services.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Posses knowledge of the PACS system, appreciates the overall image distribution concept for PACS.
Performs exam monitoring and patient information management.
Prepares patients appropriately for roentgenographic examination and fluoroscopy procedures as prescribed by patients physician, in the department and in surgery or the Pain Management area.
Sets both mobile and stationary equipment for use.
