The Part-Time Endoscopy Radiologic Technologist must: demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology; and maintain a high degree of accuracy in Radiologic positioning and exposure techniques. He/she must maintain knowledge about radiation protection and safety. The Radiologic Technologists prepare for and assist the physician in the completion of intricate Radiologic examinations. They prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with state, federal, and hospital regulations. The Radiologic Technologists are the primary liaison between patients and departmental physicians and other members of the support team. They must remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited education program in Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT R.T. (R) (denotes successful completion of the ARRT certification examination) or registry eligible.
  • Must be registry eligible and obtain ARRT within 6 months of the hire date; if not obtained, termination will occur.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required.
  • Ability to work part-time and fulfill call requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year post-graduate experience strongly preferred.
  • Past experience working in the Endoscopy Lab strongly preferred.
