About The Position

Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, and continually growing institution, expanding the quality and reach of its care to patients and communities. This position is for a Registered Radiologic Technologist who will support the operating room and surgeons by providing Radiology guidance of equipment. The role requires knowledge of OR protocols as they relate to Radiology equipment and involves participating in a mandatory call rotation for after-hour cases. The technologist will perform intravenous, subdural, and arterial radiographic studies and work in hospital areas requiring autonomy and indirect supervision. Specifically, the Registered Radiologic Technologist/Screen Atlanta works with a female population over thirty-five (35) years of age.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Ability to deal tactfully and pleasantly with various types of patients, visitors, physicians, and other personnel
  • Certified in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in diagnostic radiology
  • Prior experience in Operating Room procedures

Responsibilities

  • Operates X‑Ray and fluoroscopic equipment to produce routine radiographs of designated portions of the human body for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients
  • Support operating room and surgeons by providing Radiology guidance of equipment
  • Participates in mandatory call rotation for after hour cases
  • Perform intravenous, subdural, and arterial radiographic studies and work in hospital areas requiring autonomy and indirect supervision
  • Works with a female population over thirty five (35) years of age
