About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the role of the Racquet Sports Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our racquet sports facilities, including tennis and pickleball courts. The Racquet Sports Assistant will play a key role in enhancing the overall member experience by assisting with events, designing, planning, and implementing programs, and maintaining top-notch facilities. This successful candidate will be required to work Fridays and Saturdays during the Summer Season.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with racquet sports programs and facilities, teaching Tennis, and Pickleball lessons to adults and juniors of various levels.
  • Proven track record of successful program development and implementation.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Recreation, or a related field preferred.
  • Certification in tennis and/or pickleball instruction is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and scheduling of tennis and pickleball courts.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of racquet sports facilities including stringing machines and ball machines.
  • Foster a sense of community among racquet sports enthusiasts.
  • Solicit feedback from members and implement improvements based on their input to achieve excellent guest satisfaction.
  • Have the knowledge necessary to give tennis or pickleball lessons.
  • Enforces all club rules and regulations governing the use of the club/facility, its equipment and other property.
  • Assist the Department Head with budgeting, calendar scheduling, and program coordination.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the racquet sports program, including use of club software systems and internal processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless member experience.
  • Ensure all programs and activities are executed in alignment with the seasonal budget
  • Work under the direction of the Racquet Sports Professional, receiving guidance in lesson planning, instruction, facility management, and overall club operations.
