About The Position
• Weighing the jockeys in and out. • Taking entries. • Drawing of entries, scratches and naming of riders. • Proof reading of program. • Filing of foal papers. • Verify the record of winning races of apprentice jockeys. • Verify any jockey changes. • Back-up for Program Coordinator. • Report any and all changes to stewards, announcer, TV Control, Mutuels, Equibase, Commentators. record all required data on scale sheets and submit data to the horsemen’s bookkeeper. • Deliver claim slips to trainers when horse is claimed. • All other duties as assigned.
