About The Position

Valley-Wide Health Systems is seeking a compassionate and committed RAC Aide to support individuals experiencing mental, emotional, behavioral, or substance use challenges. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on care, crisis intervention, and support within the Regional Assessment Center (RAC), working collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare, human services, or customer service
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • BLS certification (provided upon employment)
  • Colorado driver's license and willingness to travel as needed
  • Must pass Behavioral Health background investigation
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
  • Familiarity with office equipment and strong computer skills, especially Excel and Microsoft programs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with peer support, recovery services, or behavioral health preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide care, support, and monitoring to individuals in the RAC's Acute Treatment Unit (ATU), Transitional Residential Treatment Unit (TRT), and/or Withdrawal Management Unit (WMU)
  • Collaborate with fellow RAC team members and other Valley-Wide staff to ensure coordinated care
  • Perform daily RAC tasks including meal coordination, facility cleaning, assistance with daily living needs, phone communication, and other unit duties
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation consistent with agency and state standards
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans in collaboration with clinical staff
  • Deliver individual and group behavioral health interventions for individuals in the ATU
  • Participate in team meetings, individual supervision, and clinical education opportunities
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, 42-CFR, and agency confidentiality policies
  • Assist with clinical assessments, crisis interventions, therapy sessions, case management, and outreach under the direction of a clinical supervisor
  • Develop and monitor treatment plans, ensure daily progress notes are completed before shift end
  • Complete Treatment Plans within 24 hours of admission
  • Obtain and maintain QMAP certification
  • Successfully complete all required training within designated timeframes
  • Support culturally competent care and documentation
  • Provide crisis services and client transport when needed, including outside of normal hours
