About The Position

Job Summary: The RAC Specialist supports the RAC Manager and RAC Staff in all aspects of the RAC (Recovery Audit Contractor) and denials management process for CarolinaEast Health System About CarolinaEast Health System CarolinaEast Health System is committed to providing high quality, compassionate care across the Coastal Carolina region. Requirements

High school diploma required, associate’s degree preferred
Experience in RAC, billing, coding, denials/appeals process preferred
Knowledge of HCPCS codes, APC coding and DRGs preferred
Three years working in a healthcare or hospital setting
Working knowledge of basic medical terminology
Must possess computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel or other word processing software
Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
