About The Position
Together with our community, the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan (MMJCCM) creates opportunities for people to connect, grow, and learn within an ever-changing Jewish landscape. The MMJCCM imagines Jewish life that is diverse and engages meaningfully with its values, culture, and ideas in everyday lives. The MMJCCM is looking for compassionate and responsible R&R Staff for our upcoming R&R season. R&R is an antidote to our 24/7 lifestyle. R&R is an amazing weekly opportunity to be together as a family and as a community: an incredible, inclusive alternative to the typical New York Saturday. Make your Shabbat afternoon special and experience our community with workshops in art, yoga, meditation, food, music, lectures, film, creative art projects, spa experiences, and indoor and outdoor play. Join us for programs for children and adults that respect all levels of observance. Come in from the ordinary and experience Shabbat. It's an ancient solution to a modern dilemma. R&R Shabbat at the JCC is in session for the following dates: Saturdays from January 10th, 2026 to March 21, 2026 from 1:30pm to 5:00pm. Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to deliver caring, attentive customer service to all participants.
- Prior experience working with children.
Responsibilities
- Support operations across stations including hospitality, childcare, art activities, and household management.
- Communicate clearly and promptly regarding duties, questions, or concerns.
- Work collaboratively with team members.
- Speak and interact with all participants in a respectful, inclusive, and professional manner.
- Provide vigilant and attentive care for children participating in programs, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
