The R&D Senior Technician works independently with project teams, technicians, engineers, and scientists in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment. Apply engineering statistics tools (e.g., DOE) to characterize and optimize manufacturing processes. Analyze test data, calculate statistics, and contribute to comprehensive product test reports. Serve as a technical lead, delivering cross-functional training on new processes, materials, test methods, and prototypes. Support engineers in developing work instructions and validating new processes prior to release. Become a subject matter expert on complex test equipment, train team members on proper operation, and ensure calibration and preventive maintenance compliance. Participate in project team meetings, coordinating task execution and tracking progress against key deliverables. Identify and collaborate with new and existing vendors to source materials, equipment, tools, and supplies for project needs. Create preliminary engineering drawings and documentation, develop and verify specifications, and contribute innovative concepts for advanced prototypes and fixtures. Partner with Process Engineers to design, develop, prototype, test, validate, and implement manufacturing processes for neurovascular medical devices. Build quality into all aspects of your work, ensuring compliance with GLP, QS, and validated methods and documentation standards.
