Position Summary: Trend AI Zero Trust Secure Access secures access to internal and external applications by preventing unauthorized activity and automatically responding to access violations and risky behavior. It deliver s optim al protection against unwanted access across your organization. We are seeking an experienced R&D Manag er to lead the design, development, testing, deployment and evaluation of Zero Trust Secure Access (ZTSA). This role sits at the intersection of security architecture, large-scale SaaS systems, and data-driven infrastructure, and requires strong technical depth, proven people leadership, and the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure the platform scales securely to support high-volume traffic, telemetry, and policy enforcement in a modern cloud environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and continuous evolution of cloud-native, multi-tenant SaaS architectures for Zero Trust Secure Access (ZTSA) , ensuring high availability, resiliency, and scalability.
  • Provide technical oversight and direction across projects, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and delivery of high-quality, production-ready solutions.
  • Own and drive key architectural decisions across data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics to support large-scale security telemetry and policy enforcement.
  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices , ensuring high code quality, architectural consistency, and long-term maintainability across the team.
  • Evaluate and integrate relevant AI advancements into engineering workflows and platform capabilities to improve efficiency, quality, and innovation.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, cloud platforms, and security trends to keep the team technically competitive and future ready
  • Own end-to-end delivery of product features and platform capabilities, executing with Agile and DevOps best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deeply understand the requirements and t ranslate them into scalable product designs and engineering plans.
  • Drive communication, planning and integration across Trend Vision One initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Lead project planning and execution, ensuring clear specifications, direction, and adequate resources for delivering high-quality projects on time, with a strong focus on customer experience.
  • Identify , assess, and mitigate project risks early to improve predictability and enhance team performance.
  • Leverage AI technologies in product development and demonstrating measurable business
  • Lead periodic performance and alignment reviews to evaluate individual and team impact, identify growth opportunities, and support long-term career development
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports to provide coaching, feedback, and career guidance
  • Own and drive the end-to-end hiring process , including role definition, resume screening, interviewing, offer decisions, and onboarding of new team members
  • Manage annual compensation and salary review processes , providing thoughtful input and clear rationale for compensation decisions
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools (e.g., resume screening, performance insights, or evaluation analytics) to improve efficiency and objectivity in hiring and people management practices; prior hands-on experience is a plus
