Your responsibilities will include: Provide leadership, management, and mentoring to Hepatic Artery Infusion R&D team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Supports team members in career development and attaining their career goals, developing direct reports by securing appropriate training, assigning progressively challenging tasks, providing constructive feedback, and conducting formal written and verbal performance reviews. Ensures technical excellence for projects of major scope, including sustaining, exploratory, technology development and/or product development projects. Ensures high-quality R&D functional deliverables, including detailed review of design, risk, and other relevant PDP phase deliverables to ensure accuracy of content and compliance with the BSC Quality Management System. Contributes to developing and monitoring of department budgets, determining appropriate staff levels, schedules, and resources, and preparing and managing resource plans for R&D initiatives. Establishes and enhances cross-functional relationships, collaborates with marketing, quality, regulatory, project management, and manufacturing teams, and engages in cross-functional discussions to drive results. Ensure compliances with relevant regulatory requirements and standards throughout the product lifecycle and monitor/implement industry best practices and technological advancements. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. 7+ years of total engineering experience in a regulated industry Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, manage projects, and drive innovation within a fast-paced R&D setting. Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a global, collaborative, and fast-paced environment with minimal direction. New product development experience, including a solid understanding of the product life cycle process (PLCP) Must be willing and able to travel ~10% of the time 2+ years of leadership, supervisory and/or project management experience Proven track record of managing R&D budgets, optimizing resource allocation, and delivering projects within budget constraints Experience in driving technical trade-off decisions to optimize design, performance, usability, manufacturability, cost-efficiency and reliability Experience with medical device product development projects.
