Chemours is seeking an R&D IT Specialist to join our team at the Chemours Discovery Hub , our flagship R&D facility. This highly visible role supports a diverse range of technologies and projects critical to innovation and research. You will partner with scientists, engineers, and business teams to deliver IT solutions that enable cutting-edge research and development. The scope and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of direct IT support experience in a corporate or technical environment.
  • Strong technical skills in supporting desktop/PC hardware, peripherals, and Office 365 Suite.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows XP, 7, 10, 11).
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across multiple IT domains (Security, Infrastructure, Applications).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing and implementing networked IT services in R&D or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with Agilent instrumentation and software.
  • Working knowledge of Linux distributions (CentOS, AlmaLinux).
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced R&D environment.
  • Background in customer service or user experience-focused role s .

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for standard Windows 11 end-user computing devices and peripherals.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams Rooms, Live Events, and Townhall setups.
  • Adhere to established End User IT Support procedures, global policies, and process workflows across all support areas.
  • Deliver support for non-standard and legacy PC environments, including Windows XP, 7, and 10.
  • Demonstrate a foundational understanding of networks, networking protocols, and firewall configurations.
  • Collaborate with laboratory and business teams to implement technology solutions that enable emerging technologies and R&D initiatives.
  • Serve as a customer advocate, ensuring user needs are understood, addressed, and resolved to satisfaction.
