R&D Chemist (Thermoplastic Hot Melts) We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced R&D Chemist to join our company. As an R&D Chemist for Thermoplastic Hot Melts, you will be responsible for the development of innovative adhesive products that meet the needs of our customers and play a crucial role in leading the growth of our organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques.
  • Assist sales and technical service by traveling to customer plants.
  • Effectively communicates verbally and in written communications to team members and management.
  • Deep understanding of research and development processes and techniques.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically to drive innovation and problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Recording and interpreting results to present to senior colleagues.
  • Demonstrating practical procedure, time management, and accurate recordkeeping while working on designated projects.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites is required.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct experiments and research to develop new adhesive compounds and formulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products and optimize existing processes.
  • Develop and implement R&D strategies to drive innovation and product improvement.
  • Analyze and interpret the results of laboratory experiments and tests.
  • Use a variety of analytical methods, including FTIR, DMA, and DSC.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to production or product quality.
  • Accompany newly developed adhesive products through the process of scaling up from the experimental stage to production and customer trials.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of experiments, procedures, and results.
  • Foster a collaborative and creative work environment to encourage team productivity and motivation.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in the adhesive industry through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Monitor industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation.
