About The Position

As a Sales Quotation Specialist, you will work with the Sales team to develop quotations for multiple projects and to ensure manufacturing of equipment following the end customer's specifications. You will work with multiple departments, including Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Manufacturing. You'll configure and analyze equipment in company systems to produce a pricing quote/proposal which is presented to the end customer. Once the proposal is accepted the Sales Quotation Specialist initiates the ordering process with the appropriate departments. You will report to the Sales Operations Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks, communicate information in a timely fashion and with the appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements.
  • Attention to customer needs and maintains a high level of discretion and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive material.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, organizational skills, mathematical skills, detail oriented and highly motivated.
  • Ability to work both individually and as a team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Microsoft CRM Dynamics knowledge is a plus.
  • Desire for continuous learning through cross-training.
  • Experience with Hussmann products desired, not required.
  • Less than 5% travel required.
  • 1 to 2 yrs experience as a Sales Coordinator and/or Hussmann experience and/or Business experience
  • High School diploma required or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (Hussmann specific applications/software)
  • Exposure to Hussmann equipment/products.
  • Exposure to reading fixture plans and refrigeration schedules.
  • Basic understanding of general job aspects. Some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
  • Close supervision involving detailed instructions and review of work performed.
  • Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
  • Limited decision-making, limited customer exposure.

  • 2-5 yrs experience
  • Intermediate computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HPC, Oracle, Windchill, Autodesk, customer applications as needed)
  • Basic equipment product knowledge.
  • Basic proficiency in reading fixture plans and refrigeration schedules.
  • Substantial understanding of general aspects of the job. Broad understanding of the detailed aspects of the job.
  • General supervision and instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments.
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
  • Exercises judgment, within defined procedures and practices, to determine appropriate actions and decision making; interact cross functionally on assignments and projects.
  • Intermittent customer contact, can answer basic customer inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare sales/customer quotations and/or correspondence, including equipment refrigeration, and buy-out items, assembling prices and engineering information, and determine proper document requirements.
  • Work with Hussmann preferred carrier or customer preferred carrier to obtain freight quote.
  • Process/complete the sales quotes/orders in a timely fashion using company approved systems.
  • Configure Hussmann equipment to create a sales proposal, understanding customer specifications.
  • Process / Track quotes and orders in Microsoft CRM Dynamics
  • Coordinate refrigeration and case specifications with salesman. Maintain templates if needed.
  • Responsible for reading and interpreting fixture/refrigeration plans provided by customer (Salesperson or outside customer).
  • Maintain/update current price lists.
  • Assist in resolution of any related issues that may arise and respond to sales/customer inquiries.
  • Promote good flow of communication and teamwork between departments.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with our Sales team, Application Engineers, Factories and Sales Support Specialist
  • Responsible for proofing orders before forwarding to Sales Support Specialist.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
