About The Position

CMA's Toyota of Lexington Park has an opportunity for an Express/ Quick Lube Technician. This position is a gateway to the Career Path to become a Certified Toyota Master Technician. The ideal candidate will have experience in an Automotive Technology Program or 1 year of previous experience in a similar role. Requirements

  • 1–2 years of formal education in Automotive Technology through high school, trade school, or community college.
  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a similar automotive technician role.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proven experience in automotive repair and diagnostics.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • Valid Maryland driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance as outlined on repair orders with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Diagnose vehicle issues based on customer concerns and thorough inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with the parts department to source necessary components.
  • Save and tag warranty parts or customer-requested items for review.
  • Conduct safety and service checks to identify additional work needed or recommended.
  • Create and share video multi-point inspections with service advisors to support transparency and upselling.
  • Document all work performed and recommendations clearly on repair orders.
  • Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure quality control.
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and stay current with technical bulletins.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and customer vehicles.
  • Ensure proper use and return of dealership-owned tools and manuals.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA standards.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
