Supervisory responsibility for all aspects of training and development of a safe and efficient hourly workforce through application of the company’s policies and procedures, along with MSHA and other regulatory requirements. Manage the performance of day-to-day operational activities including, but not limited to, perform MSHA regulated Workplace exams, pre-shift equipment inspections, validating personnel labor hours, reporting equipment usage hours, reporting plant production, ensuring pit and/or plant operational efficiency, planning and supervising the duties of the labor force, facility and roadway maintenance, product quality control and continuous production improvement. Day-to-day general and preventive maintenance and operational efficiency of all classifying and mobile equipment and scale house. Develop, submit and maintain an overall reclamation / site plan for management. Requisition, order and maintain stock inventory of essential fuels, lubricants, oils and equipment and plant wear parts. Communicate and coordinate with shop personnel on all repairs; document all repairs. Lead weekly safety toolbox discussions with employees over pertinent safety topics applicable to the task, location or equipment / plant hazards inherent to the operation.
