The opportunity Altruist is in the midst of an exceptional growth phase and we’re excited to hire a Quantitative Developer Inter for Summer 2026 to join our growing Quant team. As a Quantitative Investing Intern on the Investment Solutions teams at Altruist, you will gain hands-on experience in developing investment strategies that are deeply coupled with their technical implementation. In our 10 week program, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, operations, and compliance, to develop and bring new investment capabilities to life. Requirements

Experience - At least 1 Internship related to Quant Developing, Quant Research, or Trading
Education - Ideally looking for a B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Financial Engineering, Economics, Applied Mathematics, etc.
Technical aptitude - You’re technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks (Python, SQL, and more)

Responsibilities

Perform research on financial data using optimization software and statistical packages.
Analyze and develop investment strategies that can be personalized at scale to deliver value through risk exposures, tax management, and implementation edge.
Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to ensure successful product development, testing, and deployment.
Support product launch activities, including user documentation, training materials, and client communication.
Analyze data and user behavior to assess the impact of new product features and identify areas for further optimization.
Provide support in user acceptance testing (UAT) and help ensure product quality and reliability.
