About The Position

The Quality Technologist performs diagnostic assays to assess conformance to company quality specifications and regulatory requirements for products manufactured and provided by VMRD. The work is performed onsite within the Quality Control (QC) laboratory.

  • Experience working within a diagnostic laboratory setting

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience with quality or manufacturing roles within the biotech industry, ideally focused on diagnostic assays
  • Experience with QT9™ QMS software and laboratory information management software systems

Responsibilities

  • Follows all policies, protocols, regulatory guidelines, and SOPs
  • Develops and updates SOPs as needed
  • Efficiently and accurately performs product testing (such as ELISA, AGID, IFA, LFD), including completing proper documentation
  • Generates, performs preliminary analysis, and properly archives data
  • Calibrates, operates, and maintains critical equipment
  • Creates and edits QC documents such as COAs and worksheets
  • Maintains inventory of critical raw materials and supplies necessary for the lab
  • Proactively coordinates and prioritizes with other departments to meet customer-driven deadlines
  • Capability of performing all regular QC functions independently, after training
  • At all times, maintains audit readiness of QC's physical and electronic records
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams toward achieving business objectives and financial targets by addressing/improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth
  • Contributes to a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Assist with other duties as needed
