About The Position

The Quality Technician supports plant quality activities by performing testing, collecting and analyzing data, and working closely with production teams to ensure customer specifications and quality standards are met. This role requires strong attention to detail, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to work independently in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and plant associates
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions
• Ability to read rulers in 64ths
• Ability to distinguish color variations
• Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail
• Overtime is required and may be mandatory

Responsibilities

• Conduct required off-line product testing to verify conformance with customer specifications
• Accurately enter quality data into customized data sheets and analyze data for historical trends
• Interact with machine operators to raise awareness of defects and document corrective actions when appropriate
• Maintain lab data filing systems and physical record retention
• Work collaboratively across departments throughout the plant
• Assist in analyzing quality metrics, in-house rejections, process capability data, and customer feedback
• Ensure customer returns are checked in accurately and on time
• Actively participate in quality-related activities and initiatives
