Requirements

  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in Assembly/Installation, Testing, or Inspection.
  • Possess good mechanical aptitude.
  • Effectively communicate with all team members.
  • Function as a team member and contribute to group goals while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision in a responsible manner.
  • Recognize potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions to minimize risks.
  • Maintain the integrity of confidential business and product information.
  • Demonstrate acceptable attendance for company standard; provides adequate notification; aware of impact on organization.
  • Take initiative to recognize areas of opportunity and resolve with appropriate action.
  • Identify problems, work towards root cause elimination utilizing appropriate problem-solving methods.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills.

  • Willingness to be flexible to learn new skills based on the need of the company.
  • Consistently performs to Takt Time or quoted time.
  • Meets established metrics by performing quality work in accordance to SOPs for the area with minimal errors.
  • Work to improve processes within their work area – uses appropriate tools to find and eliminate waste and to reduce overall business costs.
  • Continuously search for new and better ways of doing things; challenges the status quo and sets stretch goals; works across boundaries to achieve common goals; strives to continuously improve oneself.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics and other types of engineering/manufacturing drawings.
  • Understanding of precision measurement equipment and applications.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic understanding of iPads/digital applications.

Responsibilities

  • Safe and positive approach to daily standard work.
  • Highly proficient in communicating problems and solutions to leadership, internal and external customers, and with other departments and plants.
  • Must be familiar with weld inspection methods used by Terex Utilities at the various facilities.
  • Ability to investigate problems, determine root cause, and suggest or implement effective solutions.
  • Must have a desire to make a difference, make long-term changes to Terex Utilities Quality.
  • Ability to train the Terex Utilities team on Quality Standards and Customer Requirements.
  • Perform Audits/Inspections at specified Quality gates.
  • Write non-conformances and notify correct departments.
  • Issue red tags.
  • Help identify and drive internal quality and safety improvements.
  • Work with operations team to resolve issues and put in countermeasures to prevent future reoccurrences.
  • Improve/modify test procedure as required.
  • Other Job duties as assigned.
