About The Position

AquaPhoenix Scientific, headquartered in Hanover, PA has an immediate opening for a Quality Technician. This is an ideal position for a recent college grad or someone with industrial manufacturing experience looking to expand their career in a quality and regulatory environment. Primary responsibilities include conducting inspections, product tests, and documentation throughout the production life-cycle to ensure products meet established quality standards. AquaPhoenix is an industry leader providing products, equipment, software technologies, and reagents for the commercial water industry. This is a full-time, in-office, non-exempt position eligible for full benefits. The successful candidate must have a strong attention to detail with an ability to spot and sense abnormalities that deviate from standards and regulatory compliance. Above all, the position requires reliable attendance, ability to accept and provide direction and training, with a willingness to work together as a team. AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the Quality Technician position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (required) and at least two- five years’ work experience in a quality, manufacturing, and/or mechanical role. Requirements

  • The successful candidate must have a strong attention to detail with an ability to spot and sense abnormalities that deviate from standards and regulatory compliance.
  • The position requires reliable attendance, ability to accept and provide direction and training, with a willingness to work together as a team.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (required) and at least two- five years’ work experience in a quality, manufacturing, and/or mechanical role.
  • Strong computer skills related to spreadsheets, word processing and ERP systems. Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office is required.
  • Able to work overtime as required to meet business needs.
  • Speak, read, and write English to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and/or instructions.
  • Wear appropriate PPE as required by Company and OSHA standards.
  • Able to stand, sit, move, bend, twist for extended periods of time and safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Execute assignments in an ethical, accurate, timely, and safe manner with the ability to perform tasks through to completion.

Nice To Haves

  • An advanced degree or technical training is preferred.
  • Familiarity and knowledge of ISO9001 standards, Lean manufacturing, and Kanban initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in various production processes including set up and change overs.
  • Working cross-functionally across multiple teams
  • Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products
  • Conduct tests using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
  • Identify defects or non-conformities and report findings to supervisors
  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Actively participate in various production processes, working cross-functionally to help ensure company and customer standards/requirements are met.
  • Understanding of applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines as they relate to the water testing and treatment industry
  • Work collectively as a team committed to common goals and objectives.
