Job Summary: The quality control systems technician is responsible for performing audits on each shift throughout the plant to ensure customer requirements are documented and met.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school education.
  • Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent amount of quality/foundry related experience
  • Computer skills required.
  • Two years’ experience or similar to the foundry industry.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, twist, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment, physical, drug screen, and background check.
  • Must be able to pass medical clearance: asthma, COPD, breathing conditions, respiratory conditions, high blood pressure are potential causes of failing a medical clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Internal Auditor Training (course 24 hour minimum)
  • Metrology/Calibration training (ISO 10012-1)

Responsibilities

  • Perform product audits as required on each shift operating throughout the plant at various stages of production to ensure the customer specific requirements are documented and met throughout the production of product.
  • Work with the appropriate personnel at all levels of the company to verify root cause of process related non-conformance and ensure that corrective action is implemented where required and is suitable and effective.
  • Maintain files on all process related audits activities for both open and closed audit records.
  • Perform internal calibration of applicable inspection, measuring and test equipment.
  • Maintain files on all applicable inspections, measuring and test equipment.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Supervisor in the following activities: Maintenance of the company’s documented Quality system.
  • Supplier auditing when requested by the purchasing department
  • The implementation and ongoing improvement of the company’s Statistical Process Control program
  • Assist the members of the Quality/Technical staff in the development of new inspection/processing techniques as requested by the Quality Assurance Supervisor and/or Quality Manager.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
