About The Position

The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that quality standards are met through testing, audits, and documentation. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with quality and food safety standards, as well as tracking and mitigating quality-related product losses. Shift: AWS Night Shift 12 Hour Continental – Rotating schedule for entire year - Work HALF the YEAR! Sun Mon Tues Wed Thurs Fri Sat Week 1 OFF ON ON OFF OFF ON ON Week 2 ON OFF OFF ON ON OFF OFF

Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience in a quality-focused role.
1-2 years of experience in quality assurance or a similar role, preferably in food manufacturing.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in testing and documentation.
Proficiency in data tracking and reporting.
Familiarity with GMP standards and quality auditing practices.
Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain organized records.

Responsibilities

Perform quality lab tests to ensure products meet established specifications.
Support decisions and follow processes on blocking and unblocking materials by coordinating the initiation and release of product holds to maintain quality standards.
Conduct monthly Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) audits and provide actionable feedback to ensure compliance.
Manage and track quality holds coordinating with relevant teams to resolve issues efficiently.
Assist in preparing for and supporting internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and processes meet certification and compliance requirements
Perform calibrations and maintain records for facility temperature probes to ensure accurate monitoring.
Review and verify quality documentation for daily and weekly metal checks to maintain compliance and accuracy.
Monitor and record the cost of the lost product resulting from quality failures, providing insights into continuous improvement.
