SUMMARY Routinely utilizes quality standards as established by Quality department to inspect parts, products and/or processes to ensure compliance. Confers with management, and value streams in resolution of defective parts or products. Works with QA personnel regarding corrective and preventive actions. Conducts routine audits and process capability reviews under supervision. Processes defective internal and supplier parts and assemblies as required. What You Will Do Inspects and tests incoming materials, in process components, and finished goods to ensure adherence to company quality standards and customer specification. Using fixed or pre-set measuring instruments. Compares assembled products with list or sample model is already established to ensure completion or assembly, paint quality, and overall appearance to assure aesthetical appeal. (75%) Works with various internal departments and supplier representatives to communicate non-conformities and suggest improvements or remedies. Works with Production Supervisors to approve re-work products. Works with Quality Assurance Engineers, Quality Control Techs and Leads, and value stream personnel or implementing corrective actions. (15%) Inspects periodic samples of in-process fabricated parts to print specifications and for blemishes and defects. Inspects welded assemblies to print specifications and for weld quality. Works with inspection equipment such as fixed gauges, templates, micrometer, height gauge, dial indicator, and portable coordinate measuring machine. Rejects defective parts and notifies department supervisor or supplier of rejected parts status.
