Tests, evaluates, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs products at various stages of production and returned from the field. Compiles statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. Responds to customer requests for product data and tracks, organizes, and reports on customer product issues and complaints. Assists in resolving product issues, updating Bill of Materials, and building a product information database. The schedule for this role is Monday-Thursday 6AM to 4:30PM in person at the Tempe Warehouse. Essential Job Functions Problem solving, light PC repair and PC software navigation Failure analysis and data entry Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards. Selects products for test at specific stages in production process or failed products returned from the field; identifies necessary equipment and supplies needed. Utilizes test equipment to conduct tests or experiments requiring selection, adaptation and/or modification of test equipment and test procedures, testing for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics. Records and evaluates test data, prepares graphs or charts for analysis and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards. Performs destructive and non-destructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, material characteristics or root cause of failure. Trouble shoot mechanical and electrical systems to the failed component level; performs specialized failure analysis product testing; inputs troubleshooting data into the database. Assist in writing or modifying test, repair, and adjustment procedures. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 2-5 years’ experience in a related field. Vocational School in Quality and 0-2 years’ experience in a related field. An understanding of basic quality techniques and principals and prior experience as a Quality Technician. An understanding of basic trouble shooting, problem solving and testing procedures. Prior experience analyzing electromechanical and electronic circuits and components. Basic experience troubleshooting and repairing computers and monitors. Basic knowledge of parallel and serial communication hardware.
