The Quality Technician will assist the Quality Engineering function as technical support in issues affecting manufacturing. This role supports and drives corrections and corrective action efforts while supporting the driven goals for continuous improvement at Jabil. This is an onsite role working with the Jabil Monument Quality Engineering Technician Team in Monument, Colorado, with hours from Monday to Friday, 6am-2:30pm.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and/or GED preferred
  • 1-3 years relevant experience
  • Manufacturing experience within a regulated industry
  • Gage metrology understanding
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Individual may be required to sit, stand or walk
  • Reaching, loading, and unloading of boards and reels is mandatory, as is lifting of up to 50 lbs

  • Proficiency preferred in use of EtQ reliance software, BabtecQ Inspection software, Windchill Change Management software, and/or ERP SAP software

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and assist with non-conformance reports (NCRs) and collaborate with production teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
  • Assist inspectors and operators as first point of contact for defects and issues
  • Verify material conformance to specifications
  • Interprets company and industrial specifications
  • Gather and maintain specific records of technical data related to materials, tools, fixtures and processes used in company
  • Acts as a Quality Engineering Representative within the product evaluation, disposition, and bounding process
  • Maintain appropriate documentation as required for Quality System activities
  • Provide technical support for Computer Aided Quality processes
  • May perform other duties as assigned and not all responsibilities may be assigned
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor
