These cutting-edge capabilities address cost and performance limitations that are helping to revolutionize spaceflight and are currently being utilized on missions with NASA, the Department of Defense, and several commercial space companies. Summary We have a current opportunity for a "Quality Technician" located at our facility in Longmont, CO. In this role you will be working a broad range of activities including inspection of incoming, in-process, and finished materials and products, calibration activities management, nonconformance and corrective action support activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in a Quality related role
  • Experience with soldering and electronics assembly inspections
  • Inspection experience with calibrated equipment, examples: calipers, micrometers, gauge pins and mechanical inspection devices
  • Experience with reviewing engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics and technical documents
  • US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Good organizational skills and familiarity with product quality documentation
  • Knowledge of other areas of Quality Assurance
  • Quality certifications such as IPC-J-STD-001 certified inspector, IPC/WHMA-A-620 certified inspector, or the ability to obtain such certifications
  • Verbal and written communication proficiency
  • Works with an ERP and/or document management system
  • Aerospace experience strongly desired
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Responsibilities

  • Inspect parts, assemblies, and related manufacturing and test process outputs for product and contractual compliance. Verify supplier compliance with all purchase order requirements, specifications and/or drawing requirements.
  • Demonstrate commitment to documentation and traceability throughout the organization. Accurately document the results of the inspections.
  • Maintain part data in the ERP system for traceability (inspection reports, COC, traceability information, test reports).
  • Manage the calibrated equipment library and calibration activities.
  • Quality assurance record retention, support build activities, perform quality review of work orders, part labeling and collect data for End Item Data Package.
  • Maintain workplace safety to people and products through proper process controls. Sustain a culture of continuous improvement.
  • May assist and train less experienced personnel in inspection processes and equipment use.
