Hexcel is currently seeking a Quality Technical Specialist in the Fibers Plant for their Salt Lake City, UT operation. The Quality Technical Specialist will perform End item functions, assure that all quality requirements at our facility are compliant to internal and customer specifications. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Requirements

  • Awareness of Quality System procedures as applicable to position.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondences and procedures.
  • Can read and interpret documents such as customer specifications, company procedures, and Sales Orders.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six to twelve months related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively with other employees, supervision, and Engineers.
  • Eligible candidate must be: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, a person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, a temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Act, a person admitted in refugee status, a person granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Audits is a plus
  • Working knowledge of LIMS D365 and Apriso a plus
  • Skilled in identifying error and or discrepancy between documents (Detailed Oriented)
  • Problem solving skill with document & people.
  • Previous manufacturing or lab experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Reviews shop orders for accuracy and legibility for all materials produced by the Fibers business.
  • Verify no discrepant material is certified as conforming.
  • Verify each raw ingredient for QA acceptance and shelf life.
  • Verify all testing conforms to internal and customer specifications
  • Prepare certification packet for customers including certification, certification forms and data reports.
  • Collects and maintains all quality records for record retention.
  • Supports the Shipping Department to assure on-time deliveries by proactively identifying non-compliances and escalating appropriately.
  • Support stamp control program
  • Support Non-Conforming system
  • Support quality/MRB hold cage area
  • Support Corrective Action system
  • Employee must work and conduct him/herself in a safe manner within an office or production environment.
  • Receiving Inspection of Supplier Raw material
