About The Position

To perform quality audits of finished product, parts in process, raw materials, and sourced product to ensure it adheres to specifications and is correct to the BOM. To verify product meets specification by utilizing various established testing methods and following documented procedures.

Requirements

• Some college / college degree preferred but not required.
• Exposure to injection molding, blow molding or assembly processes ideal.
• Must be able to operate Microsoft Office (Windows) Operating System – Excel, Word, PPT.
• Use of measurement devices – Calipers, Micrometers, UltraSonic and other necessary gauges.
• Read and interpret critical dimensions on 2-D Part Drawings and Mold Prints.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to perform product audits (production line, warehouse, receiving inbound).
• Must provide accurate reporting of first piece inspections, non-conforming materials, inbound audits, quality audits, calibrations, and deviations.
• Must be able and capable of developing work instructions and quality specifications.
• Must maintain proper control of quality records, documents and manage information within various database applications.
• Must work in cross-departmental cooperation for completion of first piece inspections (FPI), process audits, PPAP validations and resolving quality spec issues.
• Must have strong communications skills – both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Some overtime as needed, as staffing levels or workload would dictate.
• Must operate effectively in a Team based setting.
• Must perform other duties as required.
