About The Position

The Quality Team Member will fill an essential role in the monitoring and advancement of our safety and quality programs. Through daily process inspections as well as short- and long-term projects, the Quality Team Member will ensure the integrity of each product that we produce, so that our customers can use our product with full confidence and satisfaction. The successful Quality Team Member will have a scientific base of knowledge, an entrepreneurial and tenacious character, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within our company.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
Work standing or walking for most working shifts
Perform very physical duties, including but not limited to pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, and walking
Basic math and literacy
Conversant in English
Basic computer skills
Ability to understand and operate basic product testing equipment
High level of organizational skills, including time management, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, creative problem solving, and commitment to company goals
Self-motivated and detailed-oriented
Fosters positive work relationships and is a solid team player
Able to complete projects in a timely manner and get results
Supports the strategic and operational direction of the business

Responsibilities

Perform process checks throughout the production, packaging, and warehousing functions of the company, including pre-operational inspections, label checks, weight checks, and package integrity checks.
Provide independent oversight of processes, verifying compliance to company standards and policies, and effectively communicating when there are deviations from standards or processes.
Document non-conformances and coordinate with the Quality Specialist to identify, investigate, and resolve procedural and process problems.
Maintain accurate and organized records of QA activities.
Ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
Maintain ongoing company compliance with all applicable regulations and procedures.
Conduct research on Quality issues and deliver reports on research to Quality management.
Oversee and maintain the nonconforming area by tracking the material movement in nonconforming.
Oversee the quality rework activities in the plant and warehouse.
Improve quality and efficiency through initiative and creative problem-solving.
All other duties as assigned.
