About The Position

Job Summary: The Quality Control Team Member is responsible for the inspection and measurement of automatic transmission parts to ensure they meet specifications.

Requirements

Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule (days and nights) with potential mandatory daily and some Saturday overtime.
Consistent on-time attendance and a strong work ethic.
Demonstrate a positive attitude, show respect and dignity to all, and a commitment to excellence.
Standing for up to 8-12 hours per shift.
Performing repetitive motions such as reaching, twisting, bending, pushing and pulling in compact work areas.
Using fine motor skills to grasp and manipulate tools, parts, and equipment.
Ability to reach above shoulder level and below the waist as part of daily tasks.
Lifting, pushing and carrying up to 30 lbs.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Nice To Haves

Experience in an industrial/manufacturing/production environment is a plus.
Math skills-Basic mathematic skills to ensure accurate measurements is a plus.
Mechanical-General knowledge of machines, tools and measurement instruments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret part dimensional features from engineering drawings then render judgement.
Responsible for ensuring flow of quality-assured parts to support high volume production
Adhere to Standard Work Instructions (SWI)
Maintain professional, harmonious relations with other employees
Continuously interface with supervisors to communicate problems and develop solutions
Accurately record and report inspection and measurement results.
Continuously train and develop new skills
Analyze and continuously improve processes to increase overall efficiency (Kaizen)
Responsible for effective communication to supervisors by use of Stop, Call, and Wait methodology
Maintain quarantine areas
Interface with, and support, Quality Assurance Specialists for investigations
Ensure mission-ready status of assigned process equipment (Pre-Use Inspections and calibration)
