About The Position

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will lead quality assurance activities at the Council Bluffs facility by providing technical guidance, scheduling support, and daily direction to quality technicians and associates. You will partner with operations to ensure food safety, regulatory compliance, and product quality across manufacturing and warehouse operations. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Coordinate quality assurance activities including audits, training, and supply purchasing Provide technical guidance and daily support to quality assurance team members Monitor and verify critical control points within the hazard analysis and critical control point program Conduct good manufacturing practice and sanitation audits in production and warehouse areas Partner with operations to resolve quality and food safety issues Verify process controls are functioning and followed as designed Place product on hold, release, or disposition in accordance with procedures Evaluate damaged, returned, and incoming products Coordinate investigation and resolution of customer complaints Review analytical data and ensure statistical process control practices are followed Ingredients Required for Your Success Bachelor of Science degree in biology, microbiology, chemistry, food science, related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 3 years of quality or food safety experience, preferably in food manufacturing Experience with food safety programs, good manufacturing practices, and hazard analysis and critical control point plans Provide technical and decision-making support and/or data analysis in managing situations and issues relative to quality and/or food safety. Collaborate and provide technical support to appropriate functions and employees to assure, food safety and quality of company products. Gauge and evaluate effectiveness and assure continuous improvements in assigned areas of responsibility. Knowledge of applicable food safety and regulatory requirements. Proficiency reading and documenting measurements and quality data. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in biology, microbiology, chemistry, food science, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of quality or food safety experience, preferably in food manufacturing
  • Experience with food safety programs, good manufacturing practices, and hazard analysis and critical control point plans
