About The Position

Our ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity and demonstrates problem-solving leadership with limited oversight! The Process Technician Team Lead is a critical operations role that manages a portion of the production line and the operators within that space. The primary responsibility of the Team Lead is to manage vehicle assembly within the area they own, focusing on safety, quality, and throughput.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years mechanical experience with wheeled vehicles
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in the installation, test, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical and/or computer systems
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (shift is four (4) 10's, Sunday - Wednesday)
  • Ability to work overtime, weekend, holidays, etc. as needed
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills are needed to handle multiple task/projects and to work independently
  • Effective written and oral communication skills are also required to work well with all levels of staff and managers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership experience in a production environment
  • Experience with Atlas Copco / Scalable Quality Solutions (SQS) Error Proofing Systems

Responsibilities

  • Management of a team of process technicians and daily throughput targets
  • Adherence and reinforcement of all established safety policies and standards maintaining a safe work environment for all
  • Ensuring training of operators and proper work-station coverage with trained team members
  • Assembly of vehicles per standardized work instructions
  • Troubleshooting and documenting basic vehicle issues including fit & finish, mechanical, and electrical problems
  • Escalation, documentation, and communication of complex vehicle issues to supporting teams and engineering staff
  • Retrofit of vehicle components in accordance with instructions
  • Perform vehicle disassembly, reassembly, and verification of proper operation via IRC process
  • Management of Work Place Organization (WPO) within your area
