The Food Safety & Quality Supervisor is responsible for leading the site’s food safety, quality, and compliance programs. This role serves as the designated SQF Practitioner, ensuring full alignment with Kerry global standards, plant requirements, customer expectations, and regulatory obligations. This position plays a critical leadership role across food safety systems, audit readiness, continuous improvement, and new product development while maintaining all quality documentation, certifications, and compliance programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in food safety, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of quality, or food safety experience in a food or pharma production/manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Effective communication, organization, and time‑management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and develop practical, sustainable corrective solutions
  • HACCP and SQF experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site Food Safety and Quality Management System as the designated SQF Practitioner, ensuring compliance with SQF, regulatory, customer, and Kerry global standards
  • Drive audit readiness and successfully lead customer, third‑party, and regulatory audits, including corrective and preventive action management
  • Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate repeat issues and strengthen food safety and quality systems
  • Manage and support new product development, including trials, scale‑ups, and commercialization, ensuring alignment with regulatory, customer, and plant requirements
  • Analyze quality and process data to assess system performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Oversee key quality programs including environmental monitoring, calibrations, net weight compliance, foreign material controls, and testing programs (including validation and verification)
  • Maintain document control, records retention, and system compliance within Intelex
  • Investigate customer and vendor complaints and communicate timely, effective resolutions
  • Maintain required certifications (e.g., SQF, HACCP, PCQI, Halal, Kosher) and ensure ongoing compliance
