The Quality System Specialist maintains and improves the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement. Reporting to the Vice President of ESG and Global Quality System. The role conducts audits, analyzes quality data, supports corrective actions, and partners cross-functionally to enhance process effectiveness, reduce risk, and promote a strong culture of quality. This role is based onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in quality systems, process improvement, or compliance within a regulated industry (aerospace preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of quality standards and regulations such as AS9120, ASA-100, ISO 9001 and FAA/EASA requirements.
  • Experience conducting internal and process audits; lead auditor or internal auditor training preferred.
  • Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and manage corrective actions effectively.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct, and document internal audits, track findings through corrective action to closure.
  • Analyze quality performance data (KPIs, trends, audit results, customer feedback, nonconformances) to identify risks, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead and support corrective action investigations using structured root-cause analysis and verify the effectiveness of implemented actions.
  • Drive process standardization, documentation updates, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, consistency, and compliance.
  • Support external audits, customer audits, and certification assessments.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, Sales, Training, and Management to ensure quality requirements are integrated into business processes.
  • Support training and awareness related to quality systems, procedures, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Assist with management review inputs, reporting, and quality system performance metrics.
