About The Position

The Quality Systems Analyst provides analytical guidance and leads quality investigations and remediations across all Aegis Sciences’ laboratory systems.  He or she will guide quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory and licensing bodies. The Quality Systems Analyst is also responsible for the investigation of quality issues and discrepant analytical testing results, and the improvement of workflows to improve the quality of testing results for Aegis clients. This individual will also develop and implement metrics to determine the effectiveness of changes made to improve the workflows cross functionally throughout the organization. Additional responsibilities will include data analytics and visualization to support data-driven decision making across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a pure science, engineering, or technical field required
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in quality assurance, laboratory operations, and/or data analytics required
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and collaborate with diverse work teams

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Power BI or other data analysis tools strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with statistical methods and/or process control concepts (e.g. Six Sigma) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality improvements to support key laboratory performance goals
  • Develop, evaluate, and maintain monthly metrics to determine opportunities for improvement and the effectiveness of changes made in the laboratory systems
  • Continuously evaluate and improve monthly metrics, including the support of automation initiatives
  • Support the implementation of the quality management system and continuously improve its effectiveness
  • Perform analytical audits to ensure the adherence to standard operating procedures and technical guidelines
  • Design and conduct investigative studies and experiments
  • Interact with all managers and team members throughout the organization to ensure consistent delivery of quality results to clients and to achieve KPIs across the organizational value stream
  • Utilize quality management tools and methods to support projects across the organization
  • Develop and maintain operational metrics and auditing procedures to evaluate systems performance
  • Work with the Clinical Science, Client Relations, and laboratory teams to re-analyze and evaluate client-initiated-retest requests
  • Investigate technical problems, propose remedial action and verify implementation through the corrective and preventive action process
  • Serve as a Quality subject matter resource in improvement projects corporate wide
  • Evaluate discrepancies and initiate appropriate investigations for blind parallel testing
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, risks, defects, and improvement opportunities; translate findings into clear recommendations and actions
  • Develop and maintain data systems, analytical reports, and/or dashboards to support departmental processes and initiatives, laboratory quality, compliance, and operational performance
